It goes like this : Start with praising Heavenly father, then acknowledge Jesus has died for us on the cross to redeem our sins. Admit that we are sinners. Accept him as our savior and as our Lord. Ask him to forgive us. If possible repent for whatever you need him to forgive. Ask him to lead, guide and bless us. Follow with your other prayer needs. Repent of your sins- which does not just mean to be sorry for them, but repentance is turning away from sin to God. this is not only the most important question you could ask, it is the most important decision you will ever make.
