I have tried four of them, the TomTom 510 a magellen, an Alpine, and 2 garmins. I kept the garmin and just bought another garmin. My first was the garmin C330. great unit. My new one is the garmin c550 it has mp3 capability, Traffic info, fastest to find sattelites, says the street names, and has bluetooth to talk handsfree with your cell phone. It is the best. works way better than the stock unit in my range rover. worth every penny.

I prefer Garmin units, I have several older ones. My Dad just bought one of the touch screen models, it does about everything. The touchscreen menus seem to be more direct in their operation, where the ones with buttons can be confusing. Make sure that you get one with US street level maps in it, (or what country you live in.).
