I have a pair of cockatiels. They layed 4 eggs. The first one was laid on Nov 27. It's been 19 days since it got incubated. How is it suppose to look like if it's fertile? Send me some pics/websites too please!

Usually bird eggs hatch in 2 weeks...but you begin to count after the last egg is laid, not the first egg. The eggs all hold off until the last is laid and then the count begins. Usually the four eggs are laid within a week of one another. You can cut a small hole in a box, place a flashlight under the box shining thru the hole In a darkened room ..put the egg over the hole and you should see red veins in the egg or a chick if it is fertile. If the egg is non-fertile you will see clear. This is a normal procedure for checking the fertility of eggs. Check all the eggs...if they are non-fertile remove them from the nest and life continues. The birds will lay again. Mating season is after Valentines day.

Crack it open. If it is fretile you'll see a baby chick in it.

If there is no baby chick then I like to scramble them with some cheese.
