This guy asked me to a dance. I'm 17, he's 16, we're in the same grade and school. But, I'm not sure if he wants to get romantically involved too, as in bf and gf. We talk some, and e-mail a lot. And, I e-d him that he could back out if he wanted and he said that's not an option. Then, I asked him why me and not some other pretty girl who goes to our school...I'm average looking, and he came up with a paragraph of reasons. Do u think he wants more that just to go to a dance? Should I ask him if he wants more, or just wait and see? Am I exaggerating a simple situation?
I want to be with him.
And not in a physical way. Teenagers doing that=eew!

Firstly I want to say that its nice to hear a young girl that is not interested in a physical relationship at this stage in life.
I think however that you may be reading too much into the situation. Just go to the dance with this guy and see what happens. If he is interested in more his feelings will show in time. Whatever is meant to happen will in its own time.

he asked you to the dance and that was a start, so don't keep questioning it. Relax, go to the dance and have a good time and see what happens from there. One step at a time.

See how the dance goes. If he asked you, he has to at least like you a little bit. I think he does.

i think the guy made it clear that he enjoys your company. i think you are making it more complicated than it has to be. he wants to go to the dance with you so go... and take it from there.
