I have a 2006. bought new. No problems at all. It has a great ride, great gas mileage about 25-27 in town and around 30 on highway.
Has a great sound system, lots of room, roof rack, fog lights, keyless entry.
The dealership gives me free oil changes, but only if i do them on time and pay for the recommended maintenance. Still a good deal.
I just can't find anyhing to complain about on this vehicle. Unlike my 96 Grand Am, I have probably paid for that thing twice, considering all of the repairs.
Had a 02 Elantra (hyundai) didn't have any great problems with it either beyond a couple of sensors, which hyundai replaced.
For the money, the Santa Fe is an awesome deal, the warranty is fantastic and keep in mind, if hyundai keeps the owner loyalty program going, that can be a huge benifit in four or five years. I saved thirty five hundred on my santa fe when i traded my elantra. If you are in Florida, I can give you a referral to my dealer.
Good luck.

I actually drove the all new redesigned 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and I was very surprised at how smooth the vehicle is. In fact, "Hyundai claims the new Santa Fe's body structure is 59 percent more rigid than the Toyota Highlander's." The Hyundai was also one of the competitors for the Motor Trend SUV of the year for 2006. The value is very good as well as you'll be getting the famous 10 year/100,000 mile warranty from Hyundai when you buy one for the base price of $20,945.

Hyundais are great you get a super warranty and even roadside service which is a big plus. As far as ratings for the Sante Fe, the all new 2007 model is rated 9.2 by consumers in Edmunds which is very high, generally they are very satified with their purchase. People on Yahoo autos are also happy with the 2007 Sante Fe. Looks like a winner to me!
