Are you crazy? Catholic charities are probably some of the biggest around, there are LDS charities, totally secular charities - there's a gazillion charities run by everyone from atheists to agnostics to everything else under the sun! Just do an internet search or look in your local phone book!

Catholics have Catholic Charities. jews have counless organizations. Muslims have mosque-centered charity programs where they collect money from their worshipers and dole it out to needy families I don't know about any other religions.
The problem is that federal moneys more often than not are granted to Christian groups that are in agreement with the Born again president

All of them do.
What makes you think otherwise? What you make you even begin to think that other religions are heartless? What would make you think that any given individual must be christian in order to be a charitable human being?
Here's one example for you, but there are many, many others. In fact, one of the precepts of islam is giving to charity.

You don't need religion to help people! The Livestrong Foundation to cure cancer is quite prominent, and Lance Armstrong himself will tell you that God didn't cure him. Then there's the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's disease, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (for which I have bicycled thousands of miles), and countless others.
All you have to do is think outside the bible box.

one of the 5 pillars of Islam is Charity. it is a commandment for Muslims to donate 2.5% of their yearly income to charity, unless they themselves are the "needy"
Muslims are the largest (in population) donors of charity in the world
