Shih Tzu's name is Kofee Garcia Haught, hahaha! My wife is from Ghana and thought up the Kofee, Garcia comes from my love of the Grateful Dead (Jerry Garcia) and then we put my last name at the end! As far as how we come up with it, well it was rather spontaneous as we stood at the petstore trying to figure out what name we would call him for the registration papers.

I have a 4 month old Bichonpoo her name is Esperanza which means Hope. I came up with the name because I have multiple sclerosis and wear a red wrist band put out by the Multiple Sclerosis Society it has the word "Hope" on it. After going through a very long and difficult relapse I am finally in remission and doing well I just got my puppy and wanted her name to reflect the hope I have had that things would get better and the hope that I have that I will continue to improve.

Border Collie, his name is Stoan.
My girlfriend had him before I did. He was such a shy pup that she gave him the name, Stone. A strong name that she hoped he would live up to.
He did live up to his name. He became a strong, confident dog with my help. I changed the the spelling to Stoan because I don't like common/familiar names.

We have 2 Shitzu's and the black/white one is named Chewbacca. My mom named him so I can't really give you a good reason why, although he's definately living up to the name and chewing everything he can. The brown/white one is named Gizmo and I named him that because when he was little he looked exactly liked the Gizmo off Gremlins. Well, alot alike anyways. His ears didn't quite stand up like that. Lol.

My beagle is Nina, a variation of the Spanish word for baby girl, because when I got her she was such a tiny furry baby.
Our basset hound mix is called Sabrina, after Sabrina the Teenage Witch, because I wasn't planning on getting another dog, but I think she cast a spell on me to get me to take her home.
Our yellow lab mix is Sarah, because I just like that name.
Petey is a Rat Terrier
Our black lab mix who passed away this spring was named Princess. My husband named her that. I don't know why. :)

WE have a miniature dauscaund named Quisea pronounced WEEZA...from the movie "Steel Magnolias" the old mean lady! At first Quisea was a sweet rambunctious puppy now she is a little terror! We should have known the name would have changed her for the worst! LOL we still love her though!

Roxy.One time i found a lost dog and when the owner came to claim her he told me her name ten yrs later i got my dog and i named her after the other Roxy.
