I was born into a Christian family, but I am not a Christian. I do believe that Christ came to take away the sins of the people of the world OF THAT TIME. He is no longer in the world, he cannot help any of us.

I'm not sure anymore. What exactly is a Christian today? I feel we all have been made to make so many sacrifices (i.e. removing "under god" from the Pledge) today. I don't think the question is "Are you a Christian, but "Is it OK that I am a Christian and am proud of it?"

Yes... and this means that I follow Jesus Christ as my Lord and Master. You are not a Christian just because you go to a Christian church...any more than I am a car just because I go into the garage.... Its not just a religion, it s a way of life a dedication and a choice to follow the teachings of Jesus and live my life with purpose and meaning and fulfillment.

As I understand,the word Christian is to mean Christ Like.
We are instructed to follow Jesus in His likeness and daily repent of our wrong doings so that we may go where His Father is for eternity.
I have faults and I make mistakes but I keep my eyes on the one who will never leave me nor forsake me, and if I stumble He is there to pick me up and guide me.
I am proud to say I am Christ Like with other Christians.
