There is a chance the doctor will tell. A doctor is required by law to break patient/doctor confidentiality if the patient is in danger of harming himself or others. You NEED to tell your mother that you are suicidal ASAP. You are on the right track with seeking help though. I have had days where I have felt like you. It's hard dealing with depression, it really is. Please take care.

It depends how old you are, however the doctor should not convey to your mother anything, because of Doctor/Patience privilege, but that won't count if your under age. Tell the doc in your words how you feel and let him/her take it from there.

When you talk to the doctor, ask first about the confidentiality o fwhat goes on in the exam room.
Tell the doc why you don't want your mom to know.
Mention HIPPA to the doc. That makes then very careful.
Know if tht doc calls your mom it is because he wants you to live.

Yes, the doctor will tell your mother. Even if you ask them not to, it is their responsibility to inform parents because if they treat you, and your parents find out they did so without permission, your parents can sue, even if you recommended it. So, I suggest taking it up with your mother first.

Well, that is a tricky question. I know that physicians are bound to a confidentiality agreement, but I don't know if that pertains to children. And what you are talking about is very very serious. You need help, get it and don't worry about who he/she tells. Please don't wait.

it would probably depend on your age, I would say no because of Doctor/Patient Confidentiality.
