You should give him time to think about the mistake he has made, by breaking up with you for your friend. By the way, is your best friend still your friend today???? If so, you are a way better person than me.
At any rate.......let him wallow in both of his losses and be strong and try to ignore him. No answering his calls, no calling him and no emailing one another. After doing that for about a week if not longer if you can, if you feel like going back with him, then do so. Which could be a challenge for you, considering the original break up.

I wouldn't take him back. That's really lousy of him to leave you for your bestfriend. He just wants you back now as his consolation prize. Don't take that kind of abuse from guys. Tell him he's on his own... let him get what he deserves for insulting you enough to think you'd take him back after he already picked someone else over you. I can guarantee you will find much better guys than that in you future... this ones a dog.

DONT TAKE HIM BACK! he already did one of the most hurtful things (go out with you best friend) & for her to say yes is wrong!!! anyways heres some advice youve been there already it didnt work then & more than likely it wont work now no matter how much you want it too!!!! GOOD LUCK!!! :)

Tell him to stick it where the sun don't shine. I think you know that he isn't worth all this hassle, if you take him back and he does the same thing again then you will get what you deserve. Once is more than enough.

You need to ask yourself if you really want to have him do this to you again. Many people get fickle. So and so will always take me back...is the attitude. You need to make a serious decision. well, its girl world. lets just go out of the girl worl.
your best freind dumped him right? do you still like your ex-bf? if you are, why not? just get back together with him. well, your best friend dumped him, its not your ex-bf dumped your best friend. i think you should get back to your ex-bf. but before you do that, you should talk to your best friend and tell her that you will get back to him, and see what she would say... if she's ok with it, that would be great. but if she don't like it, you better give her some time. and maybe she'll change her mind.

Don't take him back. First of all, you could just be his back up since things did not work out with your friend. Even if his heart is in it, you can never trust him with your friends and you will always feel uneasy and unable to trust him.

Don't take him back. He left you. He'll no doubt leave in a second given another chance. Move on to someone else. He's not worth a second chance.
