I did for a long time, but then my life changed and I stopped. My life changed again and I've been tripping up on it. It's like you form habits when you're young where it's best not to form them because even when you try to stop - when life just gets totally challenging - its a temptation to go back to old ways of coping, so I hate to admit it but yes, I've been struggling with this lately but have lately come across some ideas and truths that are helping me improve from the core of who I am. I think life can be like you learn something on one level but it has to go deeper to the core of who you are before the change is permanent in an area of your life. Then, you can overcome it. But, I have no reason to curse God - only to thank him. I curse circumstances and events at times, and the struggle of it is driving me crazy right now. People who don't learn to curse as a way of coping when they are young and don't hear it from their parents or movies will probably never start and never have a struggle with it. So, either way I don't judge people over it. I'll leave that up to God.

The Bible is allegory. The biblical allegory for curse is law: "the curse of the law". So "bless and curse not" is as allegory saying grace and law not.

No, I do not curse(law). I am under Grace.
Law makes God's grace "no more grace".
I do not frustrate(vex: law) the grace of God.

**** is just another word for "dung". Law is "dung".
**** is a word in the scrabble dictionary. So is sex.
For Christ's sake is in Ephesians 4.

With all thy getting, get understanding: Proverbs 4.
When embraced thy head gets crowned with grace glory.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ WITH YOU ALL. AMEN.

I used to cuss like a sailor when I was nineteen. Then I gave my life to Christ and quit cussing, but I still think the words sometimes. I just have to ask God for forgiveness and trust his grace. I did have a girl tell me one time that I just couldn't cuss. I really didn't have the bitterness for it I guess. It really is a bad thing to cuss and it shows a bitter and ungrateful spirit that is unclean. I really ask God to cleans me inside so that good things will come out no matter what happens.

I really wish people wouldn't think swearing is so cool. It really stinks. And it shows a real lack of thought.

Why not? It's just words, and they only have as much power as you give them. You might tell a foreigner to go screw himself, and he wouldn't understand. But pat him on the back with your left hand and he'll kill you. It's all context and interpretation, so don't let some meaningless mumbo-jumbo run your life.

YES. There are times when nothing else can replace the expression. But ill-will is never the intention ... merely venting frustration.

Never. There is enough ugliness in the world without adding language to it. I did once yell "Damn" when one of my special ed. students tipped a t.v. over and it landed on my foot. I felt terrible about it!!!
