Ok, I'm 20 and my girlfriend just turned 17. I'm legally an adult and she is still a minor. A lot of people think this is wrong and I want to know why. We're not having sex and don't plan to until marraige, so what's the problem? We both genuinly love each other and want to start our lives together, and don't want to break up just because a lot of people think it's wrong. My girlfriend is afraid we both might get in trouble, but we dont want to break up. I told her that those people can screw what they think, because we both know were not doing anything wrong.

Is continuing this relationship wrong??

No, it's not wrong. There's plenty of couples who have a huge age difference. I don't why people think it's wrong, there's only a 3 year age difference. And she's going to be an adult in like a year or so anyway.

When I was 21 my gf was 17 I was man she was a girl when she turned 18 I was 22 you might take a time out and let things cool off! When she turns 18 then talk about being together! after collage At this age love is ever thing Money a place to live a job are secondary. All you wont is each other which is OK until the bills start coming a child or two and you will wish you would have waited longer! But what do I know you just asked my opinion

My boyfriend was 19 and i was 16 so the same age diffrence between you and your girlfriend. Age doesnt' matter as long as you treat her right and really love her it should be fine. trust me her parents will get over it. If they really have a problem with it though make sure you don't have sex with her. Not to be mean, she's young and she's still growing and so are you, so don't force the whole marriage thing. People are marrying so young now adays and then regretting it. So love eachother and be with eachother and grow together. figure out what you want later on in life when it gets to it.

I don't believe it's wrong, as long as you guys can stick to the resolve to have no sex until she is legal age. Ignore, as much as possible, what other people say. I know it's difficult. But I am 20 years into a marriage that everyone said was wrong and a mistake--for different reasons than you have. Just do what makes you AND her happy. Good luck.

I dont think that 17 to 20 is that big a deal. Me and my GF have been together for 3 years and I was 19 and she was 16 when we got together so it was the same age difference. I say that if you two really care for one another dont let the people that are talking crap bother you.

I think as long as you aren't having sex, then continuing the relationship is ok. You aren't doing anything wrong as far as I can tell. Once you cross that line, then depending on the state you are in, it may be statuatory rape. I don't think 3 years is a big difference, my boyfriend are 9.5 years apart. Good luck with your relationship.

Stop the worry, as long as her parents agree u will be ok.
She is considered a minor til she is 18.
This relationship is not wrong at all.
Just keep a low profile til she turns 18
