Love him or her, just plain love them...they don't need i-pods x-3s-or plasma t.v.s....it is all about the love...
I raised 2 kids of my own, on my own, it was not easy but they never went to bed wondering if they were loved or not, I was not perfect, but they never had to guess if they were loved. We were low on $ and it was hard...but I loved them.
One of them is a snior in college now, the other a professor and a first time published author...they are great....it is all about the love, good l uck and god bless...

Make sure I spend more time with them..going to the park, playing games or just watching TV together...lol we do all that now....but will try to spend more time then I do now_

if he was cold, i'd offer a blanket
if he was bored i would entertain them
