And they won't have the Holy Spirit until they accept Jesus, which they can't because they don't have the Holy Spirit.

Neat little Catch-22 huh?

Atheists cannot understand the ways of God because they don't have the Holy Spirit. Do you agree?

Yes, I agree with you.

But then again, most so-called Christians by the way they act and speak do not "understand the ways of God either."

Well I think you can be a "Bible Scholar" and have read the Holy Bible cover to cover and know what it says, but not really grasp what it means. It's disserned spiritually. The Holy Spirit is a wonderful teacher. It is apparent they don't know what it means by the questions they ask.
For example questions like....
Why did jews kill Jesus?
or
Why is it ok that God "murders" people but humans can't?

or
How can you say "good" people like so and so go to hell and people who kill others and then ask for forgiveness and become a christian get to go to heaven?

There lack of the Holy Spirit is evident in their questions. They don't undestand the state in which they are born and the nature of "death" and it's implications in scripture. That's what the Holy Spirit teaches. I would love to see all these folks in here truly know the LOVE of God. I wish they could all see themselves as I see them....unique and precious creations that are here on purpose. Maybe some of them will some day. I pray they do. If there is anything I'd like to emphasize in here is just how much God loves them. God loves you all and you are precious to Him.

Yes and No.

Many Christians are without the dynamite power of the Holy Spirit too. However, it is faith that helps people come to God, and understand the ways. They understand more fully and live a more powerful Christian life when they have the Holy Spirit.

We are convicted of our sins by the Holy Spirit. In the Bible it says that the Spirit of God will not dwell with man always,in other words we are convicted of our sins and it is put in our hearts to except Jesus as our Savior. At different times in our lifes we feel this calling. When we continue to turn away there will come atime when the Holy Spirit will no longer come and convict us of our sin and a person then won`t feel the the power of God to come and ask forgiveness and can no longer be saved.

I don't even care to have a holy spirit. This may be a problem or insult for a believer, but since I find no reason to believe, then saying I have no holy spirit is like trying to tell me that I don't have blue hair.

...not a catch 22, double edged sword or even amusing

Is that like the catch-22 which dictates that man shall have no other god besides the God of Israel and Abraham yet Christians worship Jesus as the only way to salvation?

Wait. That's not a catch-22. It's just a straight-up conflict.

Bad example. Kinda like yours. Ooops

Do you have the holy spirit? Have you seen God? What does he look like? Perhaps the holy spirit is really a mind virus and infects your logic and reason. If that is the case then I am thankful that I DON'T have the holy virus...I mean holy spirit.

If the above is true, how do you explain some christians inability to understand the ways of god? If they are true christians and have the "holy spirit" why do they have so much difficulty following and understanding the ways of god?

hhhhmmmm, kinda makes one wonder.

Why don't you just get over the fact that there will always be people who believe in a higher power. The fact that you spend so much time and effort in asking the stupid questions just proves how boring your life really is. Go read a book or something.
