I had a lip piercing for a year and now i've had it out for 6 months i want it back. is it ok to get it in the same spot through the scar tissue?

Yep, but it is gonna hurt a lot! Scar tissue is a lot thicker than your normal skin and it can snag when the needle is going through. You should make sure that your piercer is very experience with this, or it could end up crooked. Have you thought about getting it on the other side of your lip? Or even the middle? This is a good alternative for a labret since those damage your gums so much.

It will be fine if you get a piercing through some scar tissue. The build up of the tissue is going to be tougher then regular tissue. So this means that it will be a little harder to pierce and it will hurt a little more!

I don't know how a lip works, sorry, but I had my belly-ring replaced through the old scar so I would imagine the principle is the same. Just ask the professional who is doing the piercing, they will know. It just makes sense to do it in the same place, in order to cover up the existing scar.

talk to the person doing the piercing they are the ones to get advice from! They see things like this all of the time

you can get it done, but it may hurt a little bit more....because it is scar tissue it is going to be thicker and harder for the piercer to get the needle through
