Or if someone could let me know how to get it back, reinstall the whole thing maybe. I am new to Mac

Did you delete it from the Dock or from the Applications folder? If you deleted from the Dock it's still in your Applications folder, just click and drag it's Icon to the Dock. If you deleted form tha App folder then you will need to reinstall it from the install disks that came with your Mac.

Unfortunatley, Apple does not provide an option on their OS X CD to install individual applications. This means you should get a third party program that can extract the Mail application (mail.app) from the OS X CD. An example is Pacifist available from the link below.

The idea of installing the complete OS X system may cross your mind but don't think about it. Either the newer version of the OS X installer will not allow you to install over the updated system or you will go ahead and install the older OS X version over the newer updated system which will lead to all manner of problems, so don't do it. Use Pacifist instead.
