No. Of course it is not true. How could lemon juice which ends up digested by your body so that it is nothing like lemon juice ever get to your kidneys to do those marvelous cures?
When you had your first stone treated didn't your doctor say anything about foods to avoid to keep future stones from forming? That is not the same thing as breaking up an existing stone and might be helpful.

No, I've had two lithotripsys and am having a ureteroscopy on Thursday on the same stone. My doctor's scheduling nurse said some stones can get almost as hard as diamonds. I've heard that lemon juice can help dissolve crystals and keep new stones from forming, but it won't dissolve existing stones. I don't know of any natural remedies for stones at all. Good luck.

I think lemon juice can help you not developing new stones but I'm afraid that if the stone is too big as to need of lithotripsy it just won't dissolve.
(The stone gets formed by a chemical reaction that only happens in certain pH levels, by drinking lemon juice you raise acid concentration in urine as metabolites from lemon are excreted from our body and so the stone can't be formed)
If you have acute pain that reminds you of a renoureteral crisis you shouldn't drink great amounts of water because you would only make it worse as you are giving more pressure to the occluded way. Drinking lots of liquids is recommended to people having kidney stones that are at that moment asymptomatic, once you don't feel pain you will have benefice from drinking a lot.

As far as I know, there is no way to break up a kidney stone by using lemon juice or any other kind of juice.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

No, lemon juice does not work.. My doctor told me to drink plenty of cranberry juice.. He told me if I didn't get it out on my own he would do surgery.
So I drank a gallon in two hours.. (do that and try not to get sick)..
Then drink as much cranberry juice as you possibly can..
I passed mine with this method and avoided surgery.

I was told that you need to swallow a tablespoon of olive oil and also lemon juice. I haven't tried it.
