Not Jesus. God. Jesus is NOT God.

My theory is hyrogen and oxygen exploded under the void of a vast vaccuum of nothingness. Out of that explosion, God, or the spirit of God, was born a BABY, and evolution was a creation of God as an INFANT and as God matured, his powers permitted him to turn apes into humans....

No, God was never born. He always.. was. I don't understand that, since humans are finite and everything about us has a beginning and an end, but I do believe it. And people weren't created as babies either. They were created as full adults.

When the Bible says that we are created in God's image it does not mean that we are created in the "appearance" of God, because the Bible tells us that "God is a Spirit, those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth". What it does mean is that we have a conscience and a soul, unlike the animals have. We have a morality and have the ability to worship and love, and grow in wisdom, again unlike animals.

The image is not the literal appearence of a baby or any other body.

The image as I understood it is the essence of humanity: the mind, the heart, the creative element, the imagination.

The body is extraneous. A good example of how being literal usually misses the point entirely.

Peace to All,

;-)

Jesus was, because he became a human, but not God. He always was, is, adn always will be. Unchanging, just as He is now.

I think made in God's image means more like a head, a body, a heart, hands, feet, eyes, mouth... stuff like that. God is not some goofy freak we would never recognize or be scared of... He will be familiar to us.

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness..." He made composed of 3 parts-body soul, and spirit-just as He is Father, Son and Spirit.

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, though existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to cling to, but emptied Himself as He took on the form of a slave and became like human beings. So, recognized in appearance as a human being, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death; yes, death by the cross. God therefore has lifted Him on high and has given Him the name that surpasses every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:5-10 Modern Language Version)

This is very interesting. When you think about god, everyone has there own perception of him but as humans we will never know. Have you ever thought how the most powerful being ever came in existence. Who was gods creator.

Sorry, but read that text carefully. God did not make Adam as a baby. He made Adam and Eve as adults. It was Adam and Eve who later must fulfill God's plan to populate this world with their offsprings. And just like the animals and plants the rest of the human beings must follow His wonderful plan of reproduction, thus delegating a part of His creative power to man, animals and plants. Even now, when my friends look at my son, they always remark, He looks exactly like a photocopy of you. Even a few months ago when they saw my grandson born as a baby, they say, "Your grandson looks exactly like you."

Not convinced yet? The Mandarin character for "fire" [huo] is
written like this: 火 , that is the simple drawing of a person/man "ren" with his torso and outstretched legs, and flanked by two flames of fire. Why did the ancient Chinese when they invented the Chinese writing wrote or picture "fire" a man surrounded by two flames of fire? Because the Bible says that God is like "fire" and has always been symbolized by fire. So if God the Creator or Father is like fire, and we are created in His image and likeness, what would be natural outcome be as far as our appearance is concern? Of course we also look like "fire".

i dont believe man was created in God's image.

man grows up as time passes. man and time are creations of God. God cannot be subject to his own creation or else he would not be God. God is the First and the Last.

God made Adam in his image. He later made Eve from Adam's rib and gave them the ability to reproduce. Adam was created a grown man.

Yes. Jesus was God's son, made flesh.

He came to Earth to die for our sins, and He KNEW He was going to the cross with the world's sin on His shoulders.
