I live in the Utica NY area but I'm buying the card for someone else who lives near a Starbucks. I'd like to buy one locally because I don't have time to purchase it online. I know some retail stores sell them but I'm not sure which ones.

Drug stores often sell a variety of different gift cards. I live in Canada and they sell them at Shoppers Drug Mart, but I'm sure that in the US you can find them at a chain drug store.

Target and some Grocery Stores have Starbucks stores in them, also Barnes and Nobles bookstores have Starbucks cafes in them.

I saw the gift certificates in Albertson's grocery store- along w a ton of others= I am in a small town and was pleasantly surprised-D

You can probably buy one online...or look at ebay too. Kmart and other department stores have wide selections of gift cards for other vendors as well.
