Yes you can but it usually costs a little bit more for the abortion part. It's not cruel nor inhumane. What would be cruel and inhumane is having the puppies and them ending up in the shelters along with the tons already in there. This is why they offer the option.

Yes you certainly can and I had it done on one of my girls. Unfortunately it was an accidental mating (the person responsible for the dogs at the time had a lapse and didn't watch them... I was furious!) with her own son and that type of inbreeding has a high risk of producing pups with lots of problems. I felt it was unconscionable to bring pups into the world that would possibly only suffer - besides which it goes against all of my ethics as a registered breeder. I wasn't intending on breeding from my girl again anyway - she'd delivered two beautiful boys and she had too hard a delivery to put her through it again - so I called around a few vets until I found one who would do it. Always check around because different vets will charge different prices. I had one vet nurse say of course not we don't do things like that (she was referring to the abortion part) but whilst one may be against abortion, it was the right thing to do. It was heartbreaking to lose the pups in there, but it just wasn't right.
You can do it. It just costs a bit more. It's worth it if the circumstances aren't right. Newborn pups require commitment and care and they cost money. If it's not right for you or your girl, then I would definitely have it done.

Some Vets will spay your animal while it is pregnant, usually if it not too far along in the pregnancy. Some consider that cruel, but alot of times its better than having unwanted puppies who end up at a shelter, often being kept in poor conditions. If you dog is spayed while pregnant, the puppies will be euthanized (put to sleep) it is quick and painless. Obviously, it up to the discrestion of your Vet. Good luck in whatever you do!

You can. Generally it will take your dog a little longer to heal and there is more bleeding than with a normal spay. Personally though, I always found it disturbing when I worked as a veterinary technician and saw the vet removing a uterus full of squirming puppies. If the pregnancy was far enough along, the veterinary staff would usually break into the uterus once it was out and attempt to save the puppies, hand raise them or place them with another nursing *****, and adopt them out.

You will need to wait until she has the pups and raises them. About 12 weeks after the birth should be safe. You will want to have the puppies sold and have a little extra time to rebuild her health.
Allowing her to go through with the pregnancy is by far the safest thing to do.
You can have her spayed if it is very early in the pregnancy. However, there is no uniformly safe and effective medical alternative for preventing or terminating pregnancy in dogs. Even the best method for inducing abortion has serious side effects.
So, the answer is no, as far as I'm concerned. It is not worth the risk of your dog dying.

Yes you can but you'll need to talk to your vet and it will cost a bit more because it's a much more risky surgery. The surgery isn't inherently difficult (they simply pull the uterus through the abdominal wall and cut the blood supply) but all the blood vessels are very swollen and engorged with blood so that's what makes it risky.

No, I believe that that would be too much for the poor dog. First they would have to abort the puppies or do a c-section, and then spay her on top of that. That, in my opinion, is too much for her

They can give it a pill to terminate the pregnancy. Once that is done you can have her spayed. Not sure of the time frame.
