My husband makes this awesome dish with the following ingredients:
Pinenuts, artichoke hearts, roasted red bell peppers, feta cheese, calamata olives and roasted garlic over pasta and mixed together with olive oil. Does this sound familiar to anyone? What is the name of this recipe? PLEASE HELP! I love this dish and I'd like to send it to some friends only I feel a little lame not having the name of it! Thanks!

That sounds delicious, and it must be if you want to share it with friends. Your ingredients suggest Greek (feta and calamata olives) while pasta is generally considered to be Italian fare....so why not name it after yourself?? BlueEyes' Big Fat Greek Pasta, or my local Italian joint does a similar dish they just call Special Fettucini...so BlueEyes' Colossal Pasta Extravaganza!!

You didn't mention pureeing this in a food processor or blender, so it's not a pesto if you are using whole or coarsely chopped ingredients. If however you are processing the ingredients, then it could be considered a pesto.

It's called Artichoke Pesto Sauce over Pasta.

I searched all of my real Italian recipe books and online to find this one.

Red, White, and Green Panini
Ingredients
Red Onion Relish
1 16-ounce loaf unsliced ciabatta or Italian bread
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon purchased basil pesto
6 ounces thinly sliced provolone cheese
4 ounces thinly sliced coppacola or cooked ham
4 ounces thinly sliced salami
2 cups fresh arugula

Directions
1. Prepare Red Onion Relish; set aside. Cut bread in half horizontally. Brush the outside of the loaf with olive oil. Place the bottom half of the loaf on a piece of waxed paper, cut side up. Set top aside. In a small bowl, stir together mayonnaise and pesto; set aside.

2. Preheat an electric sandwich press, a covered indoor grill, a grill pan, or a skillet. To assemble sandwiches, place half of the provolone cheese on the bottom half of the bread loaf. Spread mayonnaise mixture over cheese. Layer with coppacola, salami, Red Onion Relish, arugula, and the remaining cheese. Replace top of loaf. Cut loaf crosswise into four sandwiches.

3. Place sandwiches (half at a time, if necessary) in the sandwich press or indoor grill; cover and and cook about 6 minutes or until cheese melts and bread is toasted. (If using a grill pan or skillet, place sandwiches on grill pan. Weight sandwiches down and grill about 2 minutes or until bread is toasted. Turn sandwiches over, weight down, and grill until remaining side is toasted.) Makes 4 sandwiches.

4. Red Onion Relish: In a medium bowl, combine 1 medium red onion, halved and thinly sliced (1 cup); 2 tablespoons olive oil; 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar; and 1 teaspoon snipped fresh oregano. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Cover and let stand at room temperature for up to 2 hours. Drain before using. Makes about 1 cup.

I think you are missing basil in the equation, if so then it is peso.Pesto has all the same ingredients except add basil. If this is not it then please clarify on your question and I will keep looking for you.
