What is the local government in your city/state doing concerning Illegal Immigration lately?

Not a darned thing except make the problem worse by sheltering these criminals and then give them access to WIC, food stamps, housing, medical care and free educations. They also are hiring more Spanish speaking instructors to accommodate the children of law breakers at great cost to our school and property taxes! Seems like the guys in office are looking out for our buddies from south of the border! Hey, who is looking out for us? Not the guys that we elected! Let's get rid of these losers in office and elect some people with the gumption to do what is in the best interest of AMERICANS!

Well, the ICE folks did a big sweep of the Swift plant, ostensibly because of identity theft. I think they gave that out because they knew if they said it was to crack down on illegals the Hispanos would be up in arms. As it was the "hispanic community" held a candle-light vigil at a Catholic church in support of the families of those who were BUSTED. Here's what I have a hard time understanding; people immigrat illegally, they steal identities to cover up their being here, and then their people hold a vigil (or is that VEE-hill?) at a Catholic church to show support. Do they really not see anything wrong with this picture? And for those of you who are going to think I'm a racist - I'm not. I'm a realist. And even though I have many good Hispanic friends, the Mexicans are the biggest immigration probelm we have here in the U.S.

In my state, and my city in particular... illegal immigrants receive free health care, free education, and food assistance.
Sadly, legal citizens do NOT receive those benefits... which frankly angers me greatly.
Oh, and our voting ballots are printed in just about every language you can find, despite a vote a decade ago stating that all government forms be printed only in English. The law has never been enforced.
There is talk about doing something to address the illegal aliens, including better border enforcement, but most politicians are afraid of the illegal alien vote...

Not enough...it is an uphill battle. Our Governor and our attorney general are kissing Mexico's feet. We did get David Ure out of office...a state legislator who was using illegals in his dairy business. He had also sponsored a bill for in-state tuition for illegals...and drivers licenses for illegals.
We have begun a program to expose Mark Shurtleff, who received a huge award from the Mexican government for his work in aiding and assisting Mexico. This traitor is our Attorney General....and is a horses %$$. He spouts a lot of religion, but is a social Mormon and uses his church like he uses everything else...he is the consummate hypocrite.

Congrats and my state passed several propositions that prohibit benefits to illegal aliens and passed that English only be the official language. It is more then a start, we do however have a great Sheriff in town to enforce it also..

NOTHING!!! hey come to Massachusetts if you are an illegal. Free welfare, schooling, you can get your license too. You can make more money just by being here than most of the people who work here. What the hell, if you're gay get married here too.

are govt is allowing the state troopers to arrest any illegals and hold them for ice to pick them up. i think it's great.
