Why don't some Christians realize that their "holier-than-thou" attitude is full of wicked pride and absent of the virtue of humility? Don't they understand that by projecting this attitude, they alienate more and more people from a faith that is supposed to save mankind?

You are confusing pride with hubris. Then again many non Christians are just as guilty of that holier than thou attitude. The Zeal of faith in any religion or teaching is a powerful thing. Given that zeal people are often blinded to the harm they do by belittling others for their faiths. Personally I figure if someone has a faith of any kind they are ahead of the game, God doesn't care what you call him and probably is watching over us shaking his head with laughter, wondering how anyone, Christian, Non Christian or Atheist has the naivete to think they could begin to understand him.

You're really just stating a hostile opinion here, not asking a question. But you SHOULD ask a question, because I see that you are misunderstanding Christianity completely.
In the first place, Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"
Second, Christians don't "trumpet;" we simply proclaim the Kingdom of God. How could Christians be proud? The awesome miracle of our salvation is NONE of our own doing. It's ALL Jesus' doing! For us, telling the truth of Christ isn't a matter of pride; it's a matter of gratitude and love.
Third, Christians aren't "holier" than anyone, and we know that very well. In fact NO ONE is holier than another. In Romans 3 we read, "...even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,..." That includes Christians! The difference is, that we are forgiven by Jesus and redeemed by His blood, which He willingly shed for us and for everyone who believes in Him. Since we have been saved, we naturally want to see others saved too! You see?
If you are concerned about this subject, I hope you will look into it more deeply. You'll never put time to better use as long as you live. God bless you!

Pride or no pride, the truth is the truth. Over the course of history, many people have seen angels, or have died temporarily and gone out of the body, only to regain consciousness. Everyone tells the same story, that there is life after death, and that it fits in accordance with the Scriptures. So, you can call it whatever you want, but there is so much evidence to back up the truths of Christianity that is is absolutely overwhelming. If you want to be humble, then investigate the truths of the Bible and truly put them to the test. No one who has truly done this has ever been disappointed. People who have sought for, and found God are not being prideful, they are just excited that they have finally found a way of living that really truly makes sense and brings relief and hope. The sin of pride is thinking you are more or less than God made you to be. Following God is not sin. I can tell you, for myself, I have investigated about every religion that exists, and none of them have changed my life, accept for Christianity... so, that said, I am not ashamed to say that Jesus is the way to God.

Christians have no pride.

The sin that they have with their "holier-than-thou" attitude is humility. It would have been pride if their attitude comes from their own assessment of right or wrong. But no, they judge themselves by the assessment according to ancient text. They have no claim to the moral code that they try to teach, passing the buck to a man called Jesus Christ.

Christianity is in fact, a misnomer. The truth is there has only been one Christian, and he died on the cross.

I hope I have not come across with the Holier than thou attitude.

I am not proud of my salvation - It is not by works lest no man boast but by Grace. I only accepted a gift... I am not proud when I have to tell you it is the only way that is what the Bible says, I believe the Bible in full for so many reasons. I come to you in all humbleness... I don't want any to perish, neither does my heavenly father, however if you don't accept Him that is what will happen.

I do understand that some Christians are very bad ambassadors.

It is Belief in Jesus Christ. confessing Him as Lord and believing that God rose Him from the dead.

It is true that there are many Christians who suffer from pride and judge individuals with attitudes that contradict the message they profess to believe. However, it is also true that there are people who mislabel Christians as being close minded and prideful because they proclaim the truth that the only way to God is through Christ.

Jesus said it himself, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." - John 14:6 -

If you have had a Christian declare truth in a bad attitude, please forgive them and realize that while they are Christian, they are first human. Even after we become Christian, we still wrestle with being human, and we still have work on changing.

However, please do not dismiss the message because of the attitude. I'm sure people scoffed at Noah when he preached that the Ark was the only way to escape the coming storm.

The road to heaven is narrow and hard to travel on. Few people find it. Jesus is the only way to God's Salvation. There is no other way. Jesus proved himself to be the Salvation for man by living the life by the Word of God. Other preachers may dictate rules and principles, but Jesus lived in obedience to the rules of God and died on the cross. God the Father is the creator who provided life and daily food for man. The Son of God, Jesus, is the Salvation, for he saves the lost sheep, leaving the 99 other sheep in the pen. He teachers us to do the same. The Holy Spirit gives us the gift of healing, which is a skill.

Wow - are you tragically confused.

If Christians are correct, then they aren't being prideful by telling the truth, they are trying to educate others. Why do you interpret truth as pride?

If Christians are incorrect, then perhaps you might want to engage them in a lively debate and offer up your view of how to travel the road to salvation. Do you have one? And is it consistent with metaphysics, science and history?

It is not pride to confess Christ and the words of the Bible that they are true. This is humility to obey the Gospel.

If I deny the truth of Christ, I would be a liar like the devil. The Bible says there is only one way, that is Jesus.

Your statement calls God a liar and denies the truth of the Gospel.

You need to repent and trust in Christ not in your own self righteousness. Jesus loves you. There is no other way to Heaven.

Well, christianity is the NOT the way to salvation. Jesus is. He is the only one that allows us to even see the father. Jesus is the only way to salvation. Anyone can say they are "Christian", but that doesn't mean they act it. Religion does not lead to salvation. I mean, I could make a salami worship religion and say it is the only way to get to heaven, but I would be wrong.

Talking about Jesus, and living our lives out for him is our main goal in life. If someone is acting holier than thou and saying that you are going to hell blah blah blah, then that person needs to rethink their approach, and need to change how they lead people to Christ.
