Ok,
Ive have been trying to Get a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Im in my second year now. I love the Major and I work pretty much night and day on homework and I still cannot get good grades. Its very frustrating. I failed 2 classes last semester and Im not doing very good this semester. I think its about time to consider changing my major. Has anyone else been in this situation ? Should I push on ? If I change what are some good majors that someone with 2 years of [thermo, statics, mat sci, edg etc . . .] ME courses could slip into. I like to be creative, Im fairly good at math and reasoning (at least I thought I was).

Thanks :)

Talk to your academic advisor or someone at the career resource center. They can give you better suggestions. The career resource center can also give you tests to determine where your interests are (the Strong-Campbell Interest Inventory was one test given years ago). That, combined with your strengths, will give you a sense of what your major should be.

I've always heard that civil engineering is the least difficult engineering degree to get, and you can get a job almost anywhere. My wife has a masters in mechanical engineering, and the joke at her school was that civil engineering was for the folks who couldn't cut it in mechanical or some other type.

Industrial engineering is fairly easy too.
