I'd like to know some of your favorite memories of the holidays or some traditions that you hold year after year that are special to you? I'm always thinking and looking to add to our family traditions and to do things different to make the holidays unique and fun. Thanks in advance for your thoughts, stories and valued memories.

we have always gotten to open one present each year on Christmas Eve. It's always been pajama's but it's fun, and we get to wear the new ones when we open the presents on Christmas morning

This happens every year, though I'm not sure how!
Every year me and my younger sister camp out in my room with robes and slippers at the ready for when we wake up. We fall asleep around midnight and wake up about seven in the morning. The thing is I always (this is the part that happens all the time) wake up, bolt up in bed with the relization that it's Christmas, then my sis wakes up seconds after me! We don't try to though. Then we run to the living room, look at all the presents, and then check to see if our younger sister or parents are awake. They never are. Our little sis wakes up around a half hour later. Then we all must wait for eight before we can wake up "Mr. and Mrs. Claus." The bummer is they always wake up as we walk into their room. Oh well!
It's a long and kind of silly tradition, but it's happened every Christmas for as long as I remember!!!

Its hardly a tradition but... Last year was the first Christmas home with my father and family. I just met him at 19 so anyways they had went to Florida and I was staying back home to feed the animals. My girlfriend came by so we could exchange gifts, and I was really excited. She had told me of how she always wanted a telescope as a little girl and I had managed to get her one. We spent much of the night out back looking at the moon, freezing our butts off. Its funny how warm you stay when you with the ones you love though. I cannot convey how great that night was, I wish it had become a tradition that is done every year between us.

I'm now 50 years old. When I was 7 my dad started a job logging in Montana. We were very broke. So were the people who allowed us to stay in their cabin.
The father came to our cabin one night complaining to my mom about him needing rent. He some how got over by the fridge and opened it. He seen it was bare, except for a bottle of tabasco sauce, the next thing we knew, there was a bag of potatoes for us to have for christmas dinner.
It was mom, dad, uncle bud, my sister, brother and me.
It was probably the best christmas dinner we'd ever had. I'd love to know where they are today! It happened in Helena, MT in 1963.

IF it's YOU..........thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I have three boys and every Christmas I wrap there presents from Santa in Santa wrapping paper. Santa has his own paper with his picture on it. Also I have one crazy child who every year I put a large rock in his bed with his name on it, that Santa left. It's fun for a minute then he sees Santa knows deep down he's a good boy, so he left him toys in the living room.

Well I know some people who do the OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD thing every year.

It's for third world country children. You just fill a shoebox with toys and other things. It's nice and fun. ; }

I did it this year for the first time!
