The days refereed to were not earth time. We do not know the duration of the days or the creation. If you read the Bible you will find that there are actually six periods of creation.

Stand up for the truth, man. It's worth more than your grade, it's worth your life. Don't sell out like the rest of the world. If what you believe depends on whether or not it gets you what you want, you're in trouble.
The Bible says God created everything in six literal days. Period.
