do jewish men follow the practice of circumscsion

It's not jewish men who follow this practise, but it is practised in judaism.

At eight days, a boy born to a jewish mother undergoes a ritual circumcision, according to judaic laws. There are two exceptions here. First if the boy is deemed not to be healthy enough, he is circumcised at a later date. If he dies before he can be circumcised, then this is done at the graveside.

Second, judaism recognized very early on the hazards and familial patterns of hemophilia. If the mother had even one brother who exhibited symptoms of what we now understand to be hemophilia, he was not to be circumcised.

Nor is judaism the only religion that includes ritual circumcision. Islamic boys are circumcised at an older date, I believe age 12. (If someone knows this actual age, and I have quoted it incorrectly, I would appreciate hearing the correction. I have done my best here.)

To the best of my knowledge, circumcision is not a christian rite. And I don't know, offhand, if any other religious group includes circumcision as a rite.

there is no such thing as a jewish man whos not circumcised.

but at least in the US, most baby boys are circumcised in general. its a beneficial practice, when done correctly.

interestingly from what I've read, the traditional jewish method, is both the most primitive mechanically(its very simple) and also very safe, and has minimal if any negative effects that the anti-circumcision people frequently site as a problem (such as reduced sensetivity)

It was God's promise or covenant with Abraham where this first started.
AND it was done on the 8th day after birth. Now here's something VERY interesting I learned in Anatomy class, we have more Vit K, which helps stop bleeding, on our third day of life than any other day!
God is amazing!
