Sometimes when I need just a little tomato paste it would be nice to have some handy ready to use from the freezer. Didn't know what kind of container to use to freeze such small amounts

Freeze them in an ice cube tray and when they are frozen, put them in a heavy plastic bag. Then thaw them out as needed. They thaw easily if you put the cube of frozen tomato paste in a small cup in the microwave.

Freeze it in the can, w/ both ends cut off. Then when frozen, slide the paste out of the can, slice into ½"-thick or rough Tbsp. protions, adn freeze loose in a zip bag.

I use so little tomato paste, I end up buying tomato paste in a tube, and just keeping it in the fridge.

i just put the lid back in the can and put it in the freezer. If you think it may be a while, you can scrape it into a small zipper bag, and squeeze out the air before closing. The latter is easier to get the paste out of when you need it.

In a freezer bag laid flat. Or in an ice cube tray with small sections. Freeze then bag. Have fun cooking.

I use the ice cube tray method, putting one TBS in each so I know how much. Its also a good idea to line the tray with plastic wrap first so its easier to take them out and clean the tray.
