styles in italy?

im going to italy during febuary vacation and ive never been over to europe so i was just wondering what i should wear? and how i should do my hair? or how i should apply my make up?

hi...don't get worried...i'm italian but i cannot understand why are you so afraid... wear what you like, don't believe who say that tennis shoes aren't allowed or something...every teenager wears it...
just don't use an extreme look in fact it isn't seen as a good thing... people would take a look at you but nothing more..

i can tell you that now are fashionable skinny jeans and boots on jeans, straight hairs, simple make up (like the black pencil in eyes and mascara..). than remember that's true that here we like black or simpler(not shocking or mixed colour dresses) dresses, aren't used not more large dresses for girls, skinny dresses are always "in".

Don't worry about hairs and yr make-up. Everybody here is free to do what they like but we do prefer not too extreme looks.
As to what you should wear remember that in February could be very cold here in Italy (mainly if you stay in the North) and then top must is an heavy coat (and raincoat too, since February is usually even raining/snowing,still more in the northern Italy).-
From a previous question I see you're 16th. At that age you can wear whatever you prefer,nobody will blame you for any "mistake"
This is also depending on where you want go since sport shoes are not suitable if you've a gala dinner but can be 100% ok if you walk the town or you go to visit a museum or a church.
When you arrive here you'll realize in 2 minutes that in further 2 minutes you can buy (if you go to markets it will be not that expensive) what Italian teenagers are wearing and you'll be immediately fashionable.

I do not think it matters actually since Italy has forever set the world's standards in all things. All classical clothing, cars, art, religion, creativity, leather, silks, all of it is established in Italy.

italians like black. italians like sunglasses
don't wear tennis shoes in public, after all u r going to the shoe capital of the world.
don't wear baggy or oversized clothing, or dirty, or ripped
do look classy, timeless, and fashionable.
do wear clothes that would fit u well, according to u body

you can just go there with your current hairstyle and dresscode. but just make sure you buy something from the locals there
