It totally depends on whose philosophy you are studying... sexuality is a very unknown dimension. Many people have "expert opinions" but they all seem to disagree on what constitutes our sexuality.

For instance, some people believe that a person chooses to be gay, while others believe they were born that way. Some people believe that your sexuality is based on childhood memories while others believe that it develops from your current surroundings and is adaptable...

If you are doing homework, then look it up in the book you are supposed to be studying.
