This is one of the best questions I have ever read. I think there are a lot of people that put on the Sunday face, and put on a show for their children. It is idiotic. I was forced to go to church as a kid and I hated it. I find religion on the whole very fascinating. I love to hear about what people believe and why. I wholeheartedly believe that we as parents need to give our children choices. We are on this earth to experience our free agency. We need to let our kids investigate. If we don't know the answers to their questions, we need to fess up that we don't, and then help them find the answer. Awesome question!

Children are taught many things by their parents, like being polite. It is called being a responsible parent to train child. My kids were taught about Jesus and have grown and gone off on their own now. I still go to Church and trust Jesus, even though they have long gone out into the world. People don't believe things for long if they don't have substance.

My childrens beliefs are what gives them peace. They live by faith and know that Jesus is in their hearts. They're strong mentally and physically, and they have optimistic views of the future.

Probably a great many, whether they realize it or not. Parents instinctually want to protect their children, and that's 'protecting' them from that whole fear of mortality thing.
