line input converter for stock head unit?

i have a 1995 camaro z28 with the delco bose sound sistem and going to put 2 kicker comps in the back and got a line input converter so i can hook up my amp will it sould as good as it would if i had a aftermarket head unit??

How it sounds will depend on your own tastes. But a $18 converter from Walmart is going to be cheaper than a quality head unit.

Try it out and see. What do you have to lose but $18 bucks? You'll gain some experience.
