(Isn't even the very first cells of a human life... a life nonetheless?
It may grow one cell at a time, but how can anyone decide at what point during (first cell devision to head partially out of womb) that it is a human life worthy of the right to live?
And I am anti-death penalty as well as any killing of human life.
So don't go there please!)
The answers to my question talks about cut off fingers, finger nail cells and bacteria in toilets!!!! C'mon! In my question I said "HUMAN LIFE" !!!! and sorry, so far human cloning doesn't work from these non-embryonic things and so far stem cell research is fiction. Try again! And please don't misquote me!

Rediculous Alex, as no human life is present in an unfertalized egg and sperm. Ask any scientist!!!!

Alex, obviously your Happy Feet taught you nothing about the facts of life. One egg and one spem make one life. Poooooey on the single egg or sperm with the "potential for life" unscientific analogy. And you know that!

Those answers referring to various other cells were perfectly good responses to your question. They refuted your claims very effectively, and when you responded by flying off the handle and calling people names, you only revealed your inability to participate in adult conversation.
The bottom line is that you have a very poorly thought out notion of the development of human life. You claim that "the very first cells" are human life, and others pointed out that the same arguments apply to things like finger nail cells and cut off fingers. It seems that rather than think about that, you just decided to throw a tantrum. That was a mistake on your part.
As a respondent below also points out, you seem to have a twisted set of values. If you can't tell the difference between a fertilized egg and a human being, your input into the issue is obviously unimportant.

See the problem is this, you are talking about the potential of human life. Not human life.
To say that life begins at conception makes the female body a murderous horrible thing because women miscarry VERY often, and usually did not even realize that they were pregnant in the first place.
If the body doesn't consider it anymore then a bundle of cells then I don't either.
Now, where this is a heart that beats, a brain that is formed, there is no denying that there is life, but before those things happen, it is only that it can become life, because so many things can happen along the way; caused by the body on its own, or induced by something on the outside, that can stop that process from continuing.
Is it better when the body does it on it's own for no reason at all? What makes that any different then taking the morning after pill? In my opinion there is no difference. However, you are entitled to believe what you will, just don't force your ideas onto others.

By your argument, you have made a miscarriage an act of murder.
The question is not how we define when life begins, it is abort the person, who carries the life, has a right to continue or terminate the pregnancy. This is not a biological decision, but a legal rights about a person's control of ones body.
God did not give any statement regarding abortion: There is no ban on abortion in the bible. So please don't present "Right to Live" bull. God is silent, so man gets to decide. Yes a religious choice.
What should be a private matter between a woman and her physician, you politicize it so that you control the choice, you control every woman's body. The last time I look, only one person was carrying a life. If she dies, the life inside dies as well. If she is murdered, the crime is a double murder. No one questoining continue the pregnancy will result into a new life (sometimes).
Gather all the biological observations and don't forget to apply the same argument to birth control. And if you decide you do control the choice, you better be prepared to pay for the outcome.

I stand by my answer to your last question. Despite all your childish and pathetic name-calling. Grow up.
"By your reasoning, does that mean that every month when a woman menstrates and the egg is lost, does that count as murder? And would male masturbation be murder too? Those are the first cells of human life, aren't they?"
Edit : All the ingredients of Human Life are present in the Egg and the Sperm. Maybe you should define more clearly what YOU mean when YOU talk about what Human life is. If you're going to be making up your own definitions, maybe you should share them with us?

You've apparently already made of your mind, so why did you even bother asking that question? I gave you a reply, and I assure you (as stupid as you may think) that my reply concerning the finger is quite legitimate. Much of what was argued has been brought up by philosophers and others before. In fact, Carl Sagan in his Pulitzer Prize winning book, The Dragons of Eden, makes some of these same arguments.
The thing is, if you didn't understand it the first time, is that, to me, life does NOT begin at conception, it would begin when the brain begins to function. It does NOT have rights being it is NOT a separate life, it is still a part of the mother.

I checked out the other question and even answered it. To answer this one.
It is different opinions and beliefs that cause others to answer in the manner that they do. It is not stupidity but a difference of beliefs. Some people don't believe the same thing as you.
I do believe that a human life is life at conception, and as somebody else pointed out the God knew before we were created.
As a bunch of people we are largely very selfish, and want our own wishes and desires without realising the consequences to our decisions.

I dont know what you are asking, so I will answer the way I see the question.
I can decide. That isnt a human life. It is a cell. I can whack my hand against the desk and kill more cells than there are in that one little spot. And guess what, I dont care. And fyi, they throw out stem cell embryo's. So why not use trash?

I think your problem is a twisted system of values. The idea that human life is inherently sacred is bullshit. A human life is no more sacred than bacterial life.
There are a lot of people out there who should have been aborted before birth. Right to life is a philosophical question, but there is a practical question to consider: Does the world really need more idiots, ****-ups, criminals, and drug-addicts?

yeah, i agree. just give the baby up for adoption before you turn your womb into a blender. inconsiderate selfish women. killing off a child that some women can only dream of having.
a co-worker of mine had adopted because she could not have babies due to medical complications.
then again, the child might grow up in a disfunctional household where it is abused, and end up committing suicide, ironic.
or, it could spend its life in an orphanage, then on the streets, fueled by drugs and disease.
but maybe not, its the chances we take in the game of life. and everyone should at least get a turn.

Look - I'm with you on this for the most part. I would probably program in exceptions for the life or health of the mother, or for rape / incest. BUT, trying to use this forum to change people's hearts on abortion is like trying to teach a pig to fly... you only end up wasting your time, and annoying the pig.
