Alright, here's the details:
She's two years younger than me and she used to like me (not sure if she still does or not, maybe or maybe not), her friend told me, but at the time I did nothing and regret it now. I've only talked to her a few times, nothing more then shooting the breeze. I see her every morning on the way to homeroom, and say Hi whenever she notices me. She's good friends, with my best friends girl friend. I don't really hang out with her on weekends, because I rarely know where she is. Although I make an effort to find out. She lives down the street from me (I don't what difference this makes, but I thought I'd throw it in). What should I do to take initiative in this situation?

1. when you see her in the hall stop and say hey! whats up, how was your weekend or whatever, just be nice and see how she responds.
2. You could ask your best friends girlfriend to mention you to her and tell you how she responds, or get her to set up a double date.
3. just ask for her number

Talk to your best friend or his girlfriend and see if there is any interest in her for you. Maybe ask them to arrange a date with all of them so it would ease the tension.

Ask her if she still has a crush on you or ask her friends. If she says yes or her friends say yes then just tell her you like her too and ask her out.
