Probably not much especially if he ate it awhile a go.
My dog polished off a (1/4 sheet cake) chocolate cake with another dog. He had about 2/3 of the cake.
Another time, he ate through x-mas wrapping and consumed a small box of chocolate covered cherries.
He had no problems and still alive.
He was a Beagle about a year old... 20 lbs.

What kind and size is your dog?
What kind of chocolate was in the cake?

Best of luck to you and your pup.

Chocolate can kill a dog or cat. If it has been more than thirty minutes you may have lucked out. If the dog starts to act different, listless, vomiting, falling down, get to a ER Vet immediately.

If it were my dog, I would have been on the way to the vet long before I asked on Yahoo.

Next time keep the food, especially chocolate, out of the total reach of the dog.

If I'm not mistaken, chocolate is toxic for dogs. I would call the Emergency Vet and ask if fudge is toxic for dogs----or call poison control. Good luck. Hope your doggy is okey-dokey.

Call the vet immediately.

You may not have a dog for long.
