only shallow people believe their are levels when it comes to dating. What i mean by "levels" is that only a guy and girl that are on the same level of looks can go out with each other. Is this a false belief? Give me some good evidence other than your opinion.

Your friend was correct - only very shallow people believe in "levels". Although appearance is the first thing we see, it's what's inside that counts.

It's not at all unusual to run into a very attractive person with a seriously ugly personality - and to run into a person who's not attractive who's really a great person.

So, you're really cheating yourself if you only think you can date somebody on your so called "level"

there is no evidence for either side. you can't ask for solid evidence when you yourselfdon't have evidence to back up your statement. now based on my opinion yes the woman was right only shallow people believe what you do. appearance has nothing to do with relationships. just like that saying BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER. it doesn't matter about ones appearance. what matters is how they act and how the treat others.

I found out years ago that personality is way more important than looks.

I'm above average in looks and have a better body than most females 10 years younger.

2001 - 2002 I dated a guy that was a bald, older, skinny biker who had some health issues. We got along great and had a very fair relationship.

1999 - 2001 I dated a guy that looked like Erik Foreman (but skinnier), we were best friends and had great times.

1996 - 1999 I dated a really good looking guy that was a jerk (just didn't come home one day & left me 10k in debt)... karma took care of him though ;)

Haven't you ever looked at a couple and thought "that's an odd couple" - a really beautiful woman with a man that's not quite all that or vice versa? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - many people can look at one woman and not all of them will think the same thing about her - some may like her eyes - some may think they're too sqinty or something.

on some levels yes, but only the superficial ones.

my guy is alot older than me, we get the 'looks' when we are out together, but it doesn't bother me.

sometimes it bothers him.

if you are constantly thinking he/she looks too good to bee with someone like me, then you are always going to be paranoid.
wondering if they are going to leave you for someone more attractive.
so in a way i agree, it is probably best to stay with someone in your own league, but not completely necessary.

love is blind..........you decide.

That is shallow! everyone has beauty you just have to notice, everyone is beautiful because God created them their beautiful, inside and out in some way or another, give people a chance.

Yes, this is very true. As one gets older their ideas and values regarding relationships change. And looks are not the important factor. One who is more mature would look for someone with values and morals that are alike. God bless****
