You sound like you're at a healthy weight for your height, and you seem to be getting exercise and treating your body well. Why worry about the numbers on the scale? If you're eating right and you're fairly active and not losing weight, that's your body's way of saying that you don' t *need* to lose any.

Throw your scale away. Also, talk to your mom or dad or an adult you trust about how you feel about your weight/appearance. If they tell you you're fine, let it go. If you can't let it go, please ask a doctor to help you with these feelings.

Not to go all parental on you, but you are incredibly young - too young to be worrying about body image stuff. That isn't to say I think you're dumb for worrying about it - feelings are never wrong- but I feel bad that you're only 11 and dealing with this stuff. Please talk to someone you trust - and soon.

Okay i was in the same boat as you were. When i was about 11 i weighed around 105-110 pounds too. I also was in dance class twice a week . And really all i have to say that it comes in time and you will lose your weight if you keep exercising and eat healthy. so i Would NOT worry about it. You will be perfectly fine.

at 11, you are growing too fast to worry about losing weight. Make sure you are eating healthy (all meals) and continue to exercise. That is the best you can do. If you intentionally lose weight at your age, you can be putting yourself at risk for a lot of health problems. It is perfectly normal to be your size at your age. You are going through puberty and your body getting ready for the changes you are about to experience. Have fun! Don't worry about boring things like losing weight. Heck, I'm 32 and I don't worry about weight. All that matters is that you are healthy, happy, and you love yourself.

I think that if you are 11 years old then as long as you are still in a healthy weight category then you should not worry about it. But, no matter what weight you are you should eat a well balanced diet and snacks that are healthy.

BMI isn't accurate for anyone under 18, or for athletic people. I'm 5'11" and 165 lbs. I am very active, and have low body fat. But my basic BMI is still 23, and I could go down to a SICKLY 140 lbs and still be considered "normal."

Just keep having fun and growing up. You should not be neurotic about your weight at eleven- jeez!

You probably weight 112 pounds BECAUSE you are in dance class. Many athletes go above BMI and their body does not look at all poor. It is normal in fact, because muscle weighs more than fat.

Some athletes have obese BMI, in fact, many pro-athletes are like this, like basketball players and football players, even when they have low % body fat.

Don't sweat it. It's likely because you're in shape.
