I'm not sure what your question is, so I'll just explain how it works.

Gas and Coal are burned to heat water, which rises and flows through pipes and spins turbines, the turbines in turn spin large magnets inside coils of a good conductor, this generates electricity.

For Hydro power, a dam is built and the water allowed to pass through tubes again, though turbines and the process is the same.

They transfer the potential energy of reactive substances like coal and gas, into kinetic energy (water vapors moving through turbines, transfering it's motion).
