Yourself in tears?
Even if you left with haste, And called eachother names.
Did you look back at a later date, and find you still felt the same?
The same as the moment of that first glance,
The softness of that first kiss?
Were you aware that you were thinking, of someone special you miss?
Did you want to get up and run to them,
Hoping for a warm embrace?
Or did you sit and pray for them, as sorrow filled your face?
Did you feel so wrought with emotion,
That you couldn't even move?
Did you Love this person with all your heart,
And had nothing to prove?
As days and months and years went by,
As the two of you were apart,
Did you feel compelled to locate them,
But didn't know where to start?
I feel that love can last forever,
Even after our days are through,
Our hearts still bonded to someone special,
But now I'm asking you,
Is your first love still on your mind?
The first person who held the key,
That opened the door that led to your heart,
Admission always free?

True love never dies. Ever. I am lucky enough to be with the key holder of my heart and have been since the day we met in 1991. I wish this feeling for everyone

Yes, I believe that the truest kind of love is the kind that lasts for eternity, and that kind of love is truly real, but not always easy to find. Some people never find it in a given lifetime, but the luckiest ones do. If you believe, as I do, that we are given many lifetimes, then you can take comfort in knowing that if you don't find your truest love in this lifetime, you will find it in another.

Well It hurt for a few years.
It bothered me once or twice a week for a decade or so.
After that I only remember it when people such as you bring it up.

I love Jesus now and that really helps a whole lot!
