I had one, small hit at 2 AM this morning. I'm worried b/c I start a new job tomorrow and the thought came across my mind that they might test me! I'm so worried.
What should I do?

They would have told you in advance if they were going to test you. One small hit, if that was all it was, won't show up. It takes a long time for it to leave your body, probably more than a month, maybe 2, if you were a heavy smoker. Ever gotten some of the residue on your fingers and tried to wash it off? It's not water soluable. Besides you don't want to work at an uptight job anyway.

It takes generally 30 days for marijuana to clear out, assuming you get a urinalysis. Best thing you can do is pray that you don't get tested. Drink vinager, it usually cleans the system out well. I don't know if you really have time. It may as well been better that you thought about it before you took a hit.
Being a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force, I wouldn't chance something like that. I care about my job more.

Drink lots of green tea and/or water. If one small hit is all you had, that is all you had in the last 30 days, you might sqeak by clean. Everyone I know that smokes says it can stay a month or more. The more you smoke the longer it takes for your body to get rid of it. Also I heard that body weight and metabolism plays a part. The heavier you are the longer it stays. I am not a doctor but this is just stuff I have always heard. Don't smoke it anymore, its not worth the stress of worrying about getting caught!

About a month, I am not one to judge about what you do with your free time, and neither should those other respondent idiots do the same.
A test does not happen overnight. You can go to any GNC store and ask a cleansing tea to take before your test. It's behind the counter, just ask, they are knowledgeable about this. You are not alone. You have to drink a LOT of it, but it will cleanse your system and solve your immediate stress. It works, I've done it. Just to let you know, I just don't do illegal stuff anymore. There is more to life. Hope this helps in the short term.

It usually take between two weeks and 6 months before it completely leaves your system, depending on the amount you smoked. Since your's was only a hit, I'd suggest you go to a head shop and buy some temporary detox and wait an hour before you take a drug screening. If you purchase any detox, following the instructions to a completely!

I know that alchohol can take about 48 hours, and if you drink too much, than the liver shuts down. So for those 48 hours, almost any consumeable thing is bad because there's no filters. It's a pretty bad deal.

well it depends if its urine, swab of the mouth or blood. usually it stays in urine for any where from 2 wks to a whole month but if you only took a small hit maybe drink alot of water so you can pee alot and maybe get lucky. they cant arrest you just for it being in your system they have to find it on you a joint,a pipe something has to be found in your possetion in order to be arrested for it lol before i had kids i drank and smoked weed failed couple drug tests and didnt get a couple of jobs but never been in jail.

well I think it takes more than a day......girl what were you thinkin? there's no such thing as a small hit because even if you're in the same room as other people smoking it can get into your system and read on a drug test.........what are you bill clinton "I smoked pot once, but I did not in-hale" lol
