My aunt of long ago made what they call monkey buns and they were large, sticky, cimmamon buns that you slowly rolled apart and let the hard sticky melt bite by bite in your mouth. At the last roll of the bun it was skinny and cinnamon to give the true dry chewy taste. It did not matter if it was hot out of the oven or cold after sitting under the cloth... You eat it to get the flavor and chewy pieces!

fresh from the oven would be nice. But otherwise either nuke it or put it in the oven for a couple of minutes (toaster oven?) And like oreos, there is a right and wrong way to eat it. You start at the end and unwind it.

okay,here goes. Either hot or cold,you take a bite and drink some milk with it. Swish the milk and bite of honey bun in your mouth as you're chewing it and swallow. Repeat process till finished,lol.

It's not very healthy I suppose but I had a friend who's mom used to slice it like a bagel and butter it up and grill it in a frying pan.. then she served it with... yes you guessed it! a nice cold glass of milk! I LOVED sleeping over her house!

Best way to eat a cinnamon bun.
I heat it, then unroll the bun to eat it.

I like it warmed up but not hot....then it gets too soft.
Otherwise if it is cold it is good to slice and put butter on it....smile
Take a bite, enjoy and then just lick those fingers....yummm

Warm it up then eat it starting with the outside end of the roll. It makes it more fun.
