The sound on my television works great when Im watching television but when i connected the wires (red, blue and green) to the the dvd player, there is no sound only picture. Can you help me????

You do realize that component (red, blue, green) are only video cables, not audio cables, right? In order to connect the DVD player properly, you should have the component cables and audio cables (red, white) to your TV. Of course, if you have an AV receiver, then you would connect the audio to the receiver instead of the TV.

You need to connect the wires (probably red and white) to the "audio-in" on the tv and to the "audio-out" on the dvd.

You might have connected the wires improperly. One wire is video, one is left audio and one is right audio.

I've never seen red/blue/green wires though, mine are always red/white/yellow.
