I just wonder who goes to heaven, or at least the good side of the afterlife. I wonder this because, aren't there quite a few religions that say "if you aren't this religion then you go to hell"? if so wouldn't everyone go to hell, because a person cannot be in more than one religion?

Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, all the Teletubbies except TinkyWinky because he doesn't carry a Prada bag unlike the Pope Benedick who wears Prada Shoes-he's going, the Christmas Armadillo, and maybe you...would you like to go???Heaven has nothing much to do with religion but rather fear imposed to oppress and impale faith followers because it's all here and largely a matter of perspective and perception..If you live a good life and are blessed by the Divine for the fruits of your efforts to live a good life, then you are happy and when you are happy;life is all full of promise and positive affirmations therefore you are in Heaven but when you live a tainted life there are twisted episodes where dark, negative, crappy things come to pass and thus life becomes Hell. You are here now, make the most of it,when the time comes to pass over well if you've lived a good life-chances are you were a good person and so you really don't have to worry about going to hell but if life wasn't the greatest, now mind you certain things are always out of our hands but there are somethings that are and if you made bad choices with those things then you gotta know that you are going to go to hell,so really it's all upon prespective.peace.Riz...I will be going to Hell-thatz where the pa-aarteeea iz.!!!

All christians who have developed a relationship with Jesus Christ go to heaven. No, I'm not talking about all those people going to church paying tithe (which is part of the OT -.-), and then go home and continue living their lives like everyone else. I mean the ones who go out there like Christ commanded, making disciples, visiting the prisoners, feeding the hungry, and housing the homeless.
Also, those who have never heard the word of God. And i don't mean Mormon or something, I mean the real word of God in the bible.
The people going to hell are those who claim to be christians, but aren't. All those pastors up there at the pulpit misguiding everyone, they are going to hell (don't get me wrong there are good pastors and preists). All those who have heard and rejected the true word of God are going to hell.

Just read the bible and you will know your answer. Do not worry about what religions say, the bible is the authority. Those who are obedient to God while living on earth will receive a reward in heaven. There the righteous who have been saved and made perfect by God will enjoy eternal life.
1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 John 2:24,25 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He has promised us -- eternal life.

Revelation 14:3 speaks of 144,000 that are bought from the earth.

Revelation 20:6 says they will rule as kings and priests with Christ.

They need subjects to rule over. The entire 37th chapter of Psalms talks about the righteous and meek inheriting the earth.

All relgions serve a purpose as we are all in different places in our journey and need different teachings to learn the lessons most relevant to where we are in any particular place in time. Just as a third grader cannot flourish in a fifth grade environment, neither can a tenth grader thrive in a college environment. While some are shortcuts and some are long and winding roads, all paths lead to the same destination and EVERYONE will go to heaven. (Just not in the same time frame.)

In total truth, the ones who are going to Heaven are the ones who want to. Simple as that. If you want to go to Heaven, you can. The different religions doesn't matter what-so-ever. What does count is God's Holy Bible. It's an instruction book for us all to live by. End of story...

The Right to Enter Paradise

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!

Well, I don't believe Heaven has anything to do with RELIGION. RELIGION is not of God, it is of man.....That being, said the Bible tells us.........

WHO SO EVER SHALL BELIEVE IN HIS HEART AND SPEAK IT WITH HIS MOUTH THAT JESUS CHRIST IS HIS LORD AND SAVIOR SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT RATHER HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE!

What a blessing we've all been given! We are ALL sinners, we're human! But THANK YOU JESUS!!! We are forgiven! We will all fall short of the GLORY OF GOD! That's not a question! But that's why God sent his only son to save us all from eternal damnation.

John 3:3 explains it all. Jesus said to Nicodemus 'I assure you, unless you are born again, you will not see the Kingdom of Heaven'
Sadly the religions of the world teach otherwise.

Religion has nothing to do with getting into heaven, it's man made, we don't need to even be in one. God is my religion, I do his will, I pray to him, and usually he does answer in some way. God seek your heart not your religion.
