How can I get physical with one of my good friends that I think I'm starting to like? I don't mean in a perverted way, but just enough to send a message. I don't know if she likes me or not. And how would you react if a guy you didn't like, but was friends with, did something like hold your hand, or put his arm around you?

take her to a park. sit on the swings. talk like you usually do. but then just grab her hand and hold it. see what she does, if she starts laughing and is like "what are you doing?" then just play it off as if you just wanted to trying swinging together and having fun and stuff, but you needed to grab her hand to do it.
BUT.
if she doesn't laugh or pull back, just hold her hand for a really long time. and the rest will be history.....

This is quite funny, I have the same problem as you, except with my close guy friend. First off, you have to be sure you like this girl, cause if you "think" you like her and tell her, but later on change your mind about her that could result in some major hear break for the girl, no matter if shes your gf or just a friend. If you are sure about this girl tell her! She'll probably realize she feels the same way about you, or did at one point or another. The way I would react if a "just friends" guy held my hand I would feel kind of weird or uncomfortable because now you've got the girl questioning you, that's why you should tell her before you try any moves.

there are a couple of things you can do, flirt with her and see if she flirts back, tell her how you feel, or just keep doing what your doing but more, for example call her more than you normally do just give her hints that your interested and if she avoids you that means she is starting to get the hint and that you should back off. if she does this its because she values your friendship and does not want to ruin it if things would not work out. if she reciprocates the she like you. Also, does she talk to you about other guys? your her best friend you must know her better than anyone...

Start with a hug and a smile during the holidays. Afterwards tell her how much you enjoyed hugging her and ask if she was OK with it. Take your cues from her, if she seems receptive, then you can continue to pursue her. If she doesn't give you any indication that she likes you as anything more than a friend, just pull back and accept your fate!

It's tough being in the situation that you are in. If I was the girl and I didn't feel that way about you honestly...I would feel awkward and like the friendship boundaries got overstepped. It can ruin a friendship for a guy to pursue more than a friendship if the girl doesn't feel that way.
Just keep being friends with her...and see if she gives you any signals....things might just happen....or not.

I wouldn't mind and I think if he were to put his arm around me or hold my hand, I immediately recognize his feelings for me and enjoy it. go for it big guy! just make sure the move you make isn't too drastic.
