The best things Jesus taught were the two Great commandments he taught Phillip when Phillip asked "What must I do to be saved.
Love the lord thy God with all thy soul, strength and mind.
Love Thy Neighbor as thyself.

Without looking, the basic things that Jesus taught at first was to repent for the Kingdom of God was at hand. Then He taught that the law was not only external observances of rules but that God looked for a higher standard of righteousness that included the thoughts and intents of the heart. He taught that He would lay down his life as a ransom for many and that after He returned to his Father in Heaven to prepare a place for us that He would ask the Father to send the Holy Spirit. He warned against false christs and false prophets and told believers to love one another and to be diligent to serve Him while awaiting his return.

I think it was a divine logic. To love and play but also do great works that could have amazing change. He had understanding of things so simple but would yield amazing results. You know when your in a good mood and are really nice with people, do you notice how this radiates? I think he saw how this was possible. I feel he saw great beauty of people uniting in God's name as well. When you cut away all this modern emphasis on negative things within religion you will have much of Jesus's works.

The bible says ....in the book of John that Jesus did so many things that if you were to write books about them the world would not be able to contain all the books...
you can outline at least 5 Basic things..
1-Jesus fulfilled the prophecies that were written of him(not all of them)
2Jesus fulfilled the principle of the law ...another words what the law required.. Jesus paid it...and so it is said ...that HE is the righteousness of God
3He introduced to us the Father...since the world only knew ..as well the believers knew him as God..or Jehovah..or Elohim..or El Shaddai..or the Great I AM...and so NOw Jesus was introducing to the world as well as to Us ...God ..as the Father.and now we know..he is Our Father...
4And this next one is more along the line of Your Question....He Is and was our Example so that everything Jesus Did ..was to be for us or to us ..an example...So even though when asked ...Master teach us to pray...He not only told them..he showed them...like in John 17th chap...
5,6,7...He layed down his life and rose again from the dead and sent back a comforter ...who would teach us all things and bring us into rememberence...of What Jesus said...
So for us bottom line is he taught us "how to"...walk before ..pray before ...live before ..and even die before the Father...Amen God bless

Jesus said, "I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
He also said: "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father."
He said, as well: "I have come that they might have life and life more abundantly."
He said, "He that believeth is not condemned, but he that believeth not the Son of God is condemned already, because he believeth not that God hath sent Him."
He also said, "He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life."
(Sorry if these aren't perfectly quoted, because I didn't look them up. Though a word or phrase may be wrong here or there, the verses and their meanings are nevertheless faithfully rendered.)
____________________________________________________
He also taught us that, if we love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbor as ourselves, we have in effect kept the whole Law. He called these the two Great Commandments.

From memory, whatJesus taught was about God's kingdom over which he has been put in charge, he also showed by his model prayer to his desciples in the sermon of the mount, please note there the first thing that Jesus mentions:"Our Father in the heavens let your name be sanctified....... what does it mean for God's name to be sanctified? Well to sanctify God's name, would mean, that we would hold it holy, and that we would not only use his sacred name, but also to make it known to others. But is God's name used in the main stream churches today, are they making God's name Jehovah known to even their own members? Hardly, if they were doing so, God's name (Jehovah) would be known earthwide, and every person in the world would know it. and use the name. But do they? Yes God's name Jehovah is known today, but it is not preached by the mainstream religions, but God's true followers are using and proclaiming God's name and kingdom earth wide and thereby holding God's name Jehovah holy, just as Jesus did in his day, Jesus model prayer indicates that God's name Jehovah was the most important and therefore he mentioned the sanctification of Gods, name, Jesus knew that part of God's purpose is to make his name known to all of humankind!(Exodus 9:16) God's name Jehovah is very important for our salvation as it shows in Romans10:13, that to get to be saved we must not only know God's name but we also need to call upon it! But if you look at Christmass is it really about Jesus evidently, Christmass is said to be about giving gifts, and therefore it has become a verygood thing for Commerce All businesses look forward to it to make more money through it. Is this really how Jesus want's to be remembered? Not at all Just think of his reaction when in the temple of His Father and God he saw People using the temple to generate their Business, he showed his utter displeasure fot that being done, at a place of worship! Do you really think that he would feel any differently today that people use his name and his so caklled Birthday, to further their business profits? Not at all why do you think is there no date given in the Bible for the time of his Birth is it because he wanted his Birthday to be celebrated in this way as it is being done? No! If he had wanted ths celebration to be had the date would have been told in the Bible, but it is not, therefore, it is clear that it was not, important to Jesus or to God, but what it really is, but just an excuse for drinking binges and commercial ventures, it is not what Jesus taught at all, and he would be very disappointed, about what his name is being used for!

Everything that Jesus supposedly taught is in accounts of authors who have no proof of any of their claims. The Bible is full of hearsay, utter baloney, and nonsense. Quoting verses from a flawed, man-made book as the word of God is simply ridiculous.

I KNOW!!! PICK ME!!!!! As I recall, Jesus at one point summed up all of His teachings in one simply phrase: Love on another. This includes loving Jesus, loving sinners, loving those who hate you, LOVING EVERYONE. And that;s it.
