I used to be on the school volleyball team and had practice every day after school. I lost 5-10 pounds, because I would get home after school in time for dinner, after exercising for the past few hours. So between the lack of snack, and the exercise, I got very slender. I had almost no fat on me, I didnt jiggle when you slapped my arms, legs, or stomach. I got tons of compliments on how great I looked. But since volelyball ended, I havent been getting as much exercise and hae been eating lots of junkfood for snacks when I get home from school and theres nobody else home to slow me down. I've gained 10 pounds, and am up to 125. I realize I am still skinny, but I dont feel as good about myself and I want to get back to 115. I loved my body at that weight, now I feel a bit self consious of my jiggle. If I start running a mile or two a day, and dont eat junk food snacks when I get home from school, will the weight go away? Please dont tell me I dont need to lose weight, I know

Cut out the junk food and start exercising. Have you thought about joinig the gym or joining a running or hiking club. I'm pretty there must be a community volleyball club that you can join. Just stay active and have fun.

yes, you need to replace the missed exercise with another activity, like you said running. and get rid of the junk food. If you have to have a snack then eat fresh fruit or low fat popcorn. but you gained because you started consuming more calories than you burned with the increase of snack and the decrease of no exercise, your practice.running will help you build the muscle back. although its not all the same muscles it will help. 1 mile probably wont do it, but work up slowly until you at 30-40 minutes a day. Runners World is a great website that has beginner running program, not just for racing but for the fitness runner

The time you use to eat your snack, use it to exercise. Nothing wrong with wanting to be in shape even without needing to lose weight.
