On the wall of the church office where I worked was a poster reading: "For God so loved the World that He did not send a committee!"

the only time I ever saw a Church committee agree on anything, was when they agreed to get rid of the Pastor.

Well, it's a good thought. However, it is ironic, since the Bible is a book by committee. The Old Testament was passed down orally throughout the years, and debated by many old men. The New Testament was put together after the Catholic Council of Carthage, a committee of Bishops. There were many other councils who argued over the content up to the 1500's.

Even now, there are various committees who go over the Bible and figure out the "correct" interpretation for everyone.

Guess he did send a committee...

That's a strange thing to put on the wall of a church committee. They are saying that they are not of God. That's lame.
