Why is it so hard for you to believe that their holy scriptures are the true word of God?

Sadly our history on this planet is largely the result of the followers of "the one true god" wiping out the followers of "the other one true god" because of their inability to come to terms with this very question.

First of all, make sure you cap. lock the word "Bible". Even if you aren't Christian, it is still a book. You should at least respect others choices because it is hard to grasp something that is so far away and it is easier to just blow it off. The lead singer of Sunny Day Real Estate turned Christian and said some many wise things. He said this ( it could help):"Jesus Christ is Lord. There is a supreme truth to this world, and may your hearts search for it. Believe what you will. There is nothing more that I could do or say to show you."

Show me proof that you Christians are right. You can't. It's impossible. Maybe everybody else is smarter than you and has figured out that putting all of their faith into a 2000 year old book that had been transferred through word of mouth for 80 years before being written down and than been transferred through multiple languages (quite possibly losing almost the entire meaning of God and Christianity) is well, ridiculous. Seriously how are you any smarter than Scientologists? In fact how are they not smarter than you for putting their faith in a book with at least some modern ideas in them. And for the record just because you have the numbers doesn't mean you're right. Point and case Galileo and well the Christians again.

they find it so hard for the same reasons you think their gods aren't real and their "holy book" isn't the true word of god. This is why I don't believe in organized religion, believe what you want to believe. If YOU believe that Jesus is real then he's real to YOU, but possibly not to me and that doesn't make either of us bad people as long as we are doing good in our lives.

I have a motto that I live by, "Don't put your belief and religion on me and I won't put mine on you. Let's just accept our differences and learn from and respect them."

If the Bible were the true word of God, I would be heartbroken. If I were forced to follow the Bible's teachings, I don't think I could stand it. I refuse to believe that God is as violent, hateful, and downright mean as depicted in the Bible. I refuse to believe that God gave me spiritual gifts but then told me not to use them. I refuse to believe that God is concerned with the body parts of two people in love instead of the love in their souls. I refuse to believe that God would create so much goodness and fun in the world and then forbid us from partaking in it. Above all else, I refuse, REFUSE to believe that the loving, wise deity I know as God would condone the murder, butchery, torture, and rape of
dissenters as the God of the Bible does. The God of the Bible is a God bathed in the blood of his followers' enemies, and I will have no part of it. THAT is why I cannot acknowledge the Bible as the true word of God.

I've looked into many religions including Islam. Christianity is the only truth.
If one truly looks at bible prophecy that has been complete (over 300!) , Looks at the ancients writing found confirming the bible as unchanged (over 5000 cataloged including the dead sea scrolls that confirm it was Isaac and not Ishmael that was almost sacrificed by Abraham).
I've looking into Buddhism they believe the world always was which is totally contrary to science that shows the universe had a beginning.
I couldn't go along with Hinduism which believe they can gain salvation through good works. How good must these works be? I could never swallow Reincarnation even though my mother believed in it. As a kid I knew it wasn't true. Not sure how.

If anyone would just look at the bible, esp the new test, that would see how it speaks to them.
They would see the truth and would be set free.

Being a Deist, I do not believe in any holy scripture because God does not interfere in the world, he has no reason to. Therefore, according to my religion, the Bible cannot be the true word of God. BTW, "Bible" should be capitalized.

hinduism doesn't claim to be right and supreme, but it respects all religions, because they believe there is only one god and people just ahve different names for them, but christians are so anal abotu everything and the bible, the bible this, the bible that, it's pathetic that you need a book to dictate your life, hindus create their own paths based on good morals and wisdom, they learn about the world and question things, why don't you fanatic christians try that for once?? it makes me so happy to see some open minded christians, but most of you are so blinddddd

The same reason you don't hink their religion is the true word of god or even Buhda! I am a Wiccan and we bealive if you are evil, nasty , or just a horrible person inside such as Hitler, or Osama you will be punished either by reicarbation or a personal hell! Gays for example are not sinners because all they ever did was love each other! They commited no crime except for love..... Some Christians say they live a life of sin but if you are a true bealiver of that out of date book then we all live a life of sin don't we??

Ask yourself what is the bible? Its a set of chosen scriptures selectively picked out by Roman rulers to keep you enslaved by the God of this world. The corrupted certain scriptures to justify their false religion and threw away the ones that proved what they were trying to corrupt to be different. Christianity or can I say Churchianity is COUNTERFEIT. It has nothing and I mean zero nada to do with Yeshua's teachings. Yeshua by no means made a doctrine of belief that requires you to sit on your behind worship idols on your knees and profess with your lips faith that you don't and can not even begin to justify by your works of ignorance.

Yeshua taught that the kingdom is within you and not some fairy tale place in the sky where you get to continue your life in absolute ignorance and poverty minus you don't die. So you get to live the life of unknowing perpetually. This is a doctrine made by man in attempt to take a shortcut to the kingdom within. As with all religions, though none of the scriptures from any religion are intended to be that way. They are corrupted within 100 years of giving them to men and women being completely ruled by their lower nature, the ones that are animals in form of humans.

Christianity, Islam, Buddhist or what ever are nothing like their original source. Why don't other religions hold your doctrine as the true word of God? I don't know? Why don't you hold theirs as the true word of God. My friend the condition you speak of is illustrated in the Tower of Babel. It happens when no one knows thy self nor God so they fight among each other about who's man made doctrine is greater.

and why is it so hard for christians to understand that not everybody sees things the way that they do and why is it so hard for christians to understand that not everybody believes the same things as them i'm an agnostic because i'm not sure either way if god exists or not and if god does exist what's his or her name and why is so difficult for you christians to accept that everybody is not the same and doesn't have the same religious beliefs and that it's not impossible for people regardless of whether or not they are satanist hindu muslim buddhist atheist or agnostic or whatever other religious or non religious belief to have morals and why is it that christianity is broken down into protestants and catholics then you have catholics and roman catholics and amongst protestants you have baptists methodists jehovah's witnesses pentecostals and so many other sects why don't you christians get it right amongst yourselves before trying to fix everybody else up
