Indeed.
I took a stand in the '60's and '70's. Being a most imperfect person under a lot of peer pressure at the time. The drugs and the Vietnam War. I'm sorry to say, not like I've should have though..
I truly respect the current young ones that stand up like Daniel did against Nebuchadnezzar.

I'm indifferent.
I'm 20 years old and when I was in high school, I was a 'born-again believer'. I was the president of the high school bible study, lead morning worship and among other things, preached to about a zillion kids each and every day in my high school.
I think it is wonderful for people to have something that they value in a spiritual sense. Whether this be God, Jesus, or whatever; I think it's good to have something to turn to. However, I think boundaries are crossed when one sees the need to be such a 'light in today's dark world'. Or to tell teenagers that they need to watch how they act because to other non-Christians, "you might be the only Jesus they ever see"
If today's teenagers want to stand up for the Lord; great. But they need to do so without feeling such a prevalent need to pressure, be an example, or conform others.

Yes, I admire everyone but especially young people who stand on God's Word and who stand up for Jesus in today's society. What with all of the assaults on the Bible from secular humanists, liberal theologians, the intellectual elitists who worship at the altar of unproven scientific theories, it is certainly tough for a young person who has not been trained in the art and science of apologetics to say that they are going to follow God's word and their faith instead of joining the crowd.

Yes but then I like to see teenagers thinking independently and not following the crowd on all topics, therefore if they make a stand for atheism, that's also good.

I really don't admire teenagers who do this. It's a new form of rebelling against society. Society says that it's ok to have sex before you're married, it's ok to swear, it's ok to hurt people if you think they deserve it, etc. Teenagers, who always rebel against society, are now associating themselves with conservative groups in an attempt to undermine the current trends. It's not because they love Jesus. It's not because they love the Bible. It's not because they have a legitimate concern for their fellow humans. It's because they're teenagers.

Being a not to elderly adult, I was just in the peer pressure years not more than three ago. And I still admire the yong men and women who can take the hits and stand for God. I pray for them everyday, that they will not fall, nor strike their feet against a rock. For God is with them. Thank you for asking, it is a joy to share.
God bless you, and merry Christmas

With peer pressure and everything. I am proud to see teens stand up for ANYTHING that they actually believe in. I'd rather see them stand up for something that I'm totally against than fade into the background and agree with something that they are against.

Not terribly. Usually their beliefs are the result of parental guidance. If they haven't examined other religions but are just saying "this is what I have been taught and everything else is wrong," I don't admire that. That's just inheriting a religion rather than choosing it.
