Because we made some chili Friday and let it cool over night on the stove then we put it in the fridge yesterday and it kinda bubble up. It has a diffrent smell then friday so is it still good to eat?

No way, the foams came from bacteria growing into it. This happens when you let the food overnight in a warm place is like giving the bacterias the best conditions to reproduce. Next time if you forget to put it on the frigde, just boil it again an the high temperature will avoid the spoilage due to bacterias.

This IS a bad thing... from experience, your chili is contaminated and should be thrown out.

NEVER should anything be left out in the temp of 41* to 135* for over 4 hours or food poisoning can result.

I like soups and chili better the next day. The flavors have had more time to come together. But if anything smells funny I would never eat it.

Most all chili does this when refrigerated, white paste like on top.
If it smells foul, throw it out.

No. it is not good. You should not have left it out all night. I wouldnt advise you eat it

many chefs go by this rule IF IN DOUBT , THROW IT OUT..
